Welcome to Voulou, the game that transforms the classic rock-paper-scissors into an action-packed, laugh-filled card game for all ages. It’s simple to learn, endlessly fun to play, and packed with surprises that will keep everyone entertained!
Gameplay
At its core, Voulou keeps the timeless mechanics of rock-paper-scissors—rock smashes scissors, scissors cuts paper, and paper covers rock.
But here’s the twist: you can use the Voulou card as a clone or to replay a round, and every time you win a round, the card you played triggers a hilarious action that your opponent must do while everyone watches.
Will you quack like a duck? Pretend to be a robot? Or take on the “dishwashing champion” title for a week?
Our rip-roaring card game uses a kinda tennis-ish format, where you have to win the most rounds per set, and 2 out 3 sets to be match champion, but you can also choose to play however many rounds you want.
With Voulou, every round is a mix of strategy, laughter, and good-natured fun.

Game Rules
- For those who don’t know, to win a round: rock smashes scissors, scissors cuts paper and paper covers rock.
- Each set is 6 rounds, the player or team with the most winning rounds wins the set, kinda like tennis. Each team player alternates or the team chooses whoever they want to play each round.
- The match winner has to win 2 of 3 sets as per standard rules, but you can also choose your own amount of sets to play.
- If you win any 3 rounds in a set, with a 3-of-a-kind bundle, you win the set. E.g. wolf-rock, wolf-paper, wolf-scissors in any round order.
- The Voulou card allows you to replay a round, and can be played straight after you lose a round. Once a Voulou is played it must be discarded for the rest of the game.
- The Voulou card can be used as a clone to make a 3-of-a-kind bundle to win a set.
- Cards instruct opponents to do funny actions when they lose a round. E.g. quack like a duck, pretend to be a robot, wash dishes, or get someone to use their real hands for a round. Etc.
- Losers who don’t want to follow the card’s action, may claim ‘mercy’ only 3 times a match. When mercy is claimed, the loser auto-loses the next round.
- Not more than 3 Voulous can be played per player per match.
- Teams collectively can play more Voulous, but never more than 3 per person.
- There are 21 cards in a pack. Remove the rules card. Shuffle & deal evenly face down. Or get booster packs and collect as many cards as you want to make your own super-deck to play.
- You have 20 seconds to play your card face down each round. After the cards are placed, each player turns their card up to reveal their winning, losing or Voulou hand.
- Your card is returned to you after every round, to re-use if you wish. Excl. Voulou card.
Ages 7+
Cards can be collected, traded and submitted online for points to win further prizes. There are options to establish local community, regional, national and global leagues.
